Two tier Birthday Cakes
Birthdays are special occasions anytime. But every now and then you hit a big one. That is the time that you go large, go indulgent, go two tier!
One of my favourite things is when a customer gives me a brief to create something special. They want something different, delicious and designed just for them.
Using two tiers brings height to a cake and immediately sets the tone.. This is going to be special!
You can decorate a two tiered cake anyway that you would like. With flowers, with chocolate truffles, meringues, glitter, intricately made sugar paste flowers, popcorn, your favourite chocolates whatever you would like.
Go super indulgent and make it a drip cake!
For me, the cake finish should be buttercream, it tastes great on its own but again you can flavour or colour it to what you would like.
With two tiered cakes the world really is your oyster, the flavour combinations and designs unlimited.
The picture (in case you were wondering) was for a very special birthday boy who hired out the nearby Cavendish Hall. He ordered this Triple layered Organic Vanilla cake layered with Chocolate Ganache wrapped in a vanilla buttercream with a salt caramel drip and popcorn.. Yummy!
